Paris Dispute Resolution Day returns for its second edition

Following the success of its inaugural edition, Paris Place de Droit is bringing back flagship event: Paris Dispute Resolution Day. Held on 2 December, it has already itself as a key forum for commercial dispute resolution, explored in all its economic and forward-looking dimensions. For the second time, the business litigation community will gather in Paris to examine the changes and emerging trends reshaping the resolution of business disputes.

Business litigation is not solely a matter law; it is also a lens through which to view the defining issues of our time. Over the course of a single day, some fifteen round tables will place business law in dialogue with the world’s major economic, social, geopolitical, and environmental transformations.

Beyond dispute resolution practitioners, the event will bring together decision-makers and thought leaders who can inform the debate and challenge conventional wisdom.

Theme

The New Frontiers of Litigation

Against a backdrop of geopolitical tensions and technological change, the event will explore developments in both judicial and amicable dispute resolution. Bringing together legal professionals, thought leaders, as well as those who deal with litigation day to day and manage disputes within companies or alongside them, Paris Dispute Resolution Day will consider the transformations now reshaping the litigation and dispute resolution landscape, along with the new challenges facing businesses, practitioners, and institutions.

The round tables

Following a welcome address by prominent figures associated with Paris Place de Droit, the day will continue with a substantive program specially designed around the theme Next Gen Disputes / The New Frontiers of Litigation. A closing keynote will provide an opportunity to take stock and draw out the day's key lessons. Its theme: Anticipating: Law in a World in Flux.

Paris at the Heart of Global Legal Challenges

Organised by Paris Place de Droit with the support of its partners, the event aims to consider the major challenges facing society and position business as a fully fledged stakeholder in upholding the rule of law. Champion the voice of France and Europe, and their ability to resolve the most complex economic disputes internationally.

A Day of Meetings and Discussion

Opportunities to meet and connect will begin at registration, with breakfast served before the opening remarks by prominent figures from Paris Place de Droit. They will continue over a buffet lunch in the Baronne restaurant’s salons for pass holders and, for partners and their guests, a gala lunch in the Grand Salon. Coffee and refreshments will be available in dedicated discussion areas, alongside a Wi-Fi-equipped work lounge, throughout the day. The Grand Salon will also host a closing reception for the substantive programme, bringing together all 400 participants in the day’s round tables.
